The best file formats for a webcam stream overlay is PNG if the overlay is static and WebM if it’s animated. However we recommend making sure the file is less than 12mb for the optimal performance. In this case it would mean that your file can’t exceed 100mb. It’s worth mentioning there’s no max file size for these webcam overlays unless you plan to use Streamelements. If you’re using 4:3 ratio then 800×600 pixels is a good option. The best webcam stream overlay size is 1280×720 pixels if you’re using 16:9 aspect ratio.
